Using Powerwax

We are excited to share the latest details about our updated Powerwax formula available September 2024! Here are some key differences to know about the new formula that will help you make the most of its enhanced qualities in your creative projects.

Thicker Texture:

The new formula is thicker and behaves more like traditional cold wax, offering greater versatility in your creations. Its thicker consistency opens up new possibilities for texturing and layering, especially when used with Universal Medium or acrylics.

Slower Drying Time: Since it dries slower, you will have more time to work with it and manipulate the wax for your desired effect. The drying process helps you achieve deeper, more dramatic textures in your work.

Scent: There is a bit of a scent when opening the jar and applying the wax, but it dissipates once the wax is fully dry, allowing you to focus on the beauty of your artwork without lingering scents.

Less Shine, More Buffing: The new formula has more of a matte finish but can still be buffed to a sheen once completely dried and cured, allowing you to achieve a personalized, polished effect.

New Eco-Friendly Packaging: Powerwax now comes in durable metal tins for better storage and a more eco-friendly approach to packaging. Available in two convenient sizes—250g and 700g—you can choose the one that suits your needs best.
